She had always been career and self-development-minded her whole life, but now, observing
how her friends settled down, she too decided it was about time to find someone with whom to
share her life. This signing up on the dating site seemed like a huge leap into something where
she really did not hold much conviction, it seemed. That all changed, however, when she came
across Jacob’s profile; he just loved outdoor adventure, photography, and was so dedicated to
nursing.
Casual conversations soon turned into daily messages and hours of phone calls. They met for the
first time over a cup of coffee from a local coffee shop, but it was such a strong connection that
what should have been a quick coffee lasted all day touring the city together. They connected on
their shared passion for hiking, love for animals, and commitment to making the world a better
place.
And the more time that went by, the deeper their relationship became. They weathered life’s ups
and downs, never leaving each other’s side. A year after they had met, Jacob took Emily on a
road trip out west to see many of the national parks they had talked about on their first date.
Under the stars at one of these, Jacob proposed. Emily said yes, filled with joy.
Today, they are married, and the excursions continue, with them seeing new sights and enjoying
each other’s company. “I never thought a dating site could bring about something so real,” Emily
says. “We have built such a beautiful life together, and I couldn’t be happier.”
