Long-Distance Love Story of Sara and Dan

Sara did not expect to find her love online, let alone in another state, when she went to another
city for her job. Feeling rather lonely, she thought she would try online dating. That is how she
found Dan’s profile. Though they were separated by several hundred miles, something about his
profile spoke to her.

They started talking, and soon their conversations used to be the highlight of Sara’s day. It was
deep conversations over books, life, and future goals that made them feel connected despite the
physical distance. After some months of virtual conversations, they decided to meet in person.
The first meeting confirmed for both what had been felt all this while-this was special.

In a year, Sara and Dan have pulled through with long drives to spend weekends together and
hang out virtually. From sending letters in handwritten writing to virtual dates, they kept the
spark alive. Dan finally did his big move to Sara’s city, and they have been inseparable ever
since.

It was two years into their dating relationship that Dan took Sara out to a vineyard they had
visited on one of their earlier weekend trips and proposed to her. The love that conquered
distances got married in an intimate ceremony with close friends and family present. “I never
thought I’d meet my soulmate through a dating site,” Sara says, “especially not someone from
another state. But life works in mysterious ways, and now I couldn’t imagine my life without
him.
